Showing Up Together | The Borgesons at The Fountains
The Borgesons are a family who shows up big—with energy, laughter, and love. Their world is full of movement, overlapping stories, and the kind of presence that makes you want to pause and soak it all in. They’re constantly in motion, and yet, they still made time to slow down and do something really meaningful together.
Don and Kirsten have five incredible kids—Keaton, Rosie, Burke, Bella, and Brody. With school, sports, and full calendars, finding time for photos as a whole family is no small thing. We originally had a session planned at Harlinsdale Farm, but when the football team made it to a tournament (go team!), we shifted plans and met at The Fountains in Murfreesboro instead. It ended up being the perfect fit for this season and gave us the most beautiful light and variety
As a Murfreesboro family photographer, I’m always looking for locations that feel both relaxed and beautiful—and this one did just that. The fireplace made such a warm, inviting backdrop, and the light at the ice rink gave us some of my favorite frames from the whole day.
Don and Kirsten mentioned that while they do family photos every year, they haven’t had pictures of just the two of themin forever. So we made sure to capture that—plus individuals of each kid, sibling groupings, and of course, everyone together.
Since they were coming in from out of town, I sent them to one of my favorite local spots—Just Love Coffee—and the bonus? They even got to meet my pups, Brutus and Lucy, who were along for the ride and instantly became favorites.
This session wasn’t just about Christmas card photos. It was about pausing in the middle of a very full season, making space for connection, and freezing time for a family that’s beautifully alive and full of heart.
