Fall Creekside Family Session | The Rothlisberger Family
The Rothlisbergers are the kind of family you notice—quietly connected, naturally at ease, and deeply present with one another. From the way the older kids looked after the younger ones to the laughter shared between siblings, it was clear how much they value being together.
What started as a request for a creek turned into the perfect mix of settings: a quiet stream, a little wooden bridge, and a touch of fall color that made everything feel warm and settled. We met at the Overall Street Trailhead in Murfreesboro, which gave us so many great spots in one place—wooded paths, gentle water, and open space for the kids to explore.
Myles and Lola each brought their significant other, and we captured a few couple portraits as well as some sweet moments with the full family. Including them just felt like part of the story.
One of the moments that stayed with me was watching Myles with his younger brother, Owen. The way he slowed down to meet him where he was—helping, guiding, and giving his full attention—was so simple and so meaningful.
Getting a few photos of all four sisters together was such a sweet part of the session. The older two were so good with the little ones, and it was fun to see two sets of sisters—each pair close in age, each with their own connection. They just fit together in a way that made these moments easy to capture.
The youngest girls, Magnolia and Sadie, brought so much lightness. Curious, joyful, and always in motion—they added a kind of energy that helped everyone else loosen up too.
Jake and Allyson have created something strong—a home where each child is seen, supported, and loved for who they are. Photographing their family at this beautiful Murfreesboro spot felt like a quiet reminder of how much beauty lives in the everyday when you slow down and look for it.
If you’re looking for a Murfreesboro family photographer and want something simple, real, and and full of those in-between moments—you’re in the right place. We’ll choose a spot you love (creek optional), keep things relaxed, and make images that feel like home. [Reach out here] when you're ready.
